THE PLAYER NAME: Kae AGE: 23 AIM: chaosbecomesyou E-MAIL: potions.mixer@gmail.com TIMEZONE: EST
CHARACTERS PLAYED: None as of Yet
THE CHARACTER FULL NAME: The Doctor (10th regeneration) SERIES/FANDOM: Doctor Who AGE: 906 GENDER: Male SPECIES: Time Lord SEXUALITY: Pansexual or Asexual, depending on who you ask. ALIGNMENT: Good
PERSONALITY: The Doctor is an enigmatic figure, and his mood often changes as quickly as the tides. One moment he'll be manic, jumping to and fro as he spouts technojargon and fixes a particularly heinous problem, while the next he'll be somber and muted as he reflects on the various losses in his exceedingly long life. He is both exceedingly compassionate, and filled with vitriolic rage.
To the outside world, the Doctor often puts on his brightest façade. To many, he presents himself as an eccentric, yet highly intelligent individual. He's prone to asking odd questions about the environment, as if he were a tourist or amnesiac. Some may consider him to be arrogant, due to his propensity to proclaim his status as a doctor in moments of peril. Those that follow his lead often fare better in an emergency, but it takes the rare individual to realize the tenacious spark in the man in the first place.
Rumors abound that the Doctor is followed by death, and those that draw close to him often see firsthand how the deaths of those around him profoundly affect the Doctor. As a person, he is filled with a myriad of contradictions, possibly due to his many regenerations. At his core, his values remain the same., and he strives to protect the innocent. Often he doesn't intend to find trouble, instead stumbling into a dangerous situation only to try his best to lead others out of it again. If any wear out the timelord's mercy, they find themselves in an unpleasant situation.
The Doctor is quite attached to the people of Earth, and inherently does better when he has a companion by his side.
ABILITIES: Time Lord intelligence, T.A.R.D.I.S. (Time Machine), Sonic Screwdriver, Mild telepathy, knowledge about the flow of time, ability to regenerate to avoid final death WEAKNESSES: Hubris, shutting people out, arrogance, tendency to consider himself superior to others
CANON POINT: Right after the Christmas Special The Next Doctor
HOW HAS YOUR CHARACTER ENDED UP IN THE SAFE ZONE: He used the TARDIS, which has a mind of its own at times. Previously, he had been in London in the year 1888, investigating some odd happenings and found himself in the vicinity of Baker Street. Hs appearance, coupled with the mystery of that day attracted the attention of some of the more infamous residents. To his dismay he found out he had two stowaways from his last trip, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, but due to the rules of time travel he can't go back until the events of the current time stream are settled.
WHAT HAS YOUR CHARACTER BEEN DOING IN THE MONTHS SINCE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE BEGAN: There's a zombie apocalypse? You don't say! He just got here. Before this, he was in Victorian England wrapped up in some oddball alien mysteries.
THIRD-PERSON RPG SAMPLE:The Doctor didn't even waste time on the archaic message board, just turned tail and made a dash for the TARDIS. It wasn't as if the world was ending (hopefully), and yet he ran faster than he ever had before. And he did lots of running. Gargantuan proportions of running in comparison to most people. Donna always did gripe about that bit. Hurriedly he unlocked the door, and attacked the controls in all manner and form, yanking on levers and twisting dials. He even brought out the hammer to give the old girl some initiative to fly faster, or at the very least land at the proper coordinates in space and time. The TARDIS dematerialized with a VWRORP, VWORPing sound, and then--
Then he had landed. He approached the door, cautiously. Surely, this wasn't real?
As the door flew open, reality caught up to him and he found himself steadying a shaking hand on the door. He was just as alone as when he had started, with no one in the empty TARDIS console room to babble to when his adventures took a turn for the fantastic. Truly, it hadn't been real. All of his recent companions had been lost to other worlds, closed minds, or their own brilliance. The Doctor rattled on about how he was better off – how they weree better off—if there was no one that he could put in danger, but deep down Donna's words rang true. He needed someone to stop him, someone to share in his fervor, and cope with the mad amounts of running involved a time traveler's life.
The Doctor shut the door, silently contemplating his next move. He was determined to enjoy his travels, with or without accompaniment. Returning to the controls of his fine ship, he shook off the dark thoughts he had been harboring only moments earlier. Nonchalantly, he pressed random buttons and other varied devices. "Allons-y," he said, not caring if the room was empty. The important part was the journey, after all.
